Divine Set-Up For Restful Increase
I was working for an American family for over a year until they relocated to Prague in 2010. They wanted to bring me along but I chose not to follow because my family is in Singapore and I wanted to continue attending New Creation Church.
So, I started praying for a new employer. I prayed for God’s favour and divine set-up. I was also specific in my prayers, that I wanted a nice room and the freedom to attend church and care group.
My former employer and I shifted to a service apartment as a temporary location before their departure in mid-June 2010. The Lord really placed me at the right place, at the right time. I received a call from a potential employer one day, and she was staying one floor above our service apartment! That made meeting her for the interview a lot easier.
Shortly after that, I went for an operation to remove an ovarian cyst. That day, my potential employer called my former employer, indicating her interest in hiring me. Despite learning about my operation, she was still keen! Due to some regulations, I stayed at her new place in Woodlands after I was discharged from the hospital although she was still living in her service apartment. That meant I got to rest and recover in her Woodlands apartment by myself for a week! Every day, my new employer would visit me with food and made sure that I was all right. Praise the Lord!
When my new employer and her family shifted to Woodlands, they continued to let me rest for another week. My new employer gave me an air-conditioned room that is fully equipped with a TV and a DVD player. On top of that, I joined my new employer on 21 June 2010 but only officially started my duty on 5 July 2010 because of my operation. However, my new employer paid me my full salary for the month of June! Plus, my former employer also gave me my salary for the entire month of June although I was only working for them until mid-June. I received double pay during this time when I was resting! This is truly restful increase!
When my former employer saw how everything worked out for me, she was amazed at my faith and she saw the glory of the Lord on me. It is not even my faith in Jesus. When I keep looking at His grace, He turns around and sees my faith. Jesus not only answered all my prayers, He over answered them! Truly, He is a good God! Thank you, Pastor Prince, for your labour of love in preaching the gospel of grace that liberates, and let us know who we are in Christ.
