Blessed With A Job After Losing His Previous One

I was actively looking for another job as the bank I was working in was badly hit by the subprime crisis in 2008. In August 2009, due to work disagreements, my boss suggested that I move on and told me that he would give me three months to look for another job.

When I heard that, I was initially worried as I had just entered a long term financial commitment. However, when the dust settled, instead of panicking, I chose to listen to God’s Word as my next step. I listened to Pastor Prince’s sermons daily as I wanted to continuously remind myself that even with the economic downturn at that time, my peace and solution were found in Jesus.

I decided to submit my resignation a month later without a job offer. Although it appeared to be illogical, I felt a great sense of peace to do that after praying about it. Truth be told, I had never felt such joy for a long time.

Three weeks after I left my company, I received offers from three reputable banks in Singapore, of which two offered a salary with a 22 per cent to 25 per cent increment from my last drawn salary.

In the end, I accepted one of the offers and I am thankful that the new position was a positional and monetary promotion, with better hours. The work environment was less stressful and my health improved. Thank you Jesus!

I am also thankful for Pastor Prince’s messages. They are practical because our God is a practical God who is always our present source of encouragement, wisdom and solace.

Expected To Be Dismissed From Her Job But Was Promoted Instead

I am from Indonesia but I have stayed in Singapore for about six years. I first worked as a factory worker and moved on to being a receptionist.

In January 2009, my company had a change of owners. My company then wanted to remove the role of a receptionist as they thought it was not necessary. There were two possibilities for me — to be fired or to move to another department.

Finally, the company placed me in another department for three months but told me that I would have to find another job after that. I was pregnant at that time and I felt very miserable and was worried.

After my maternity leave, I went back to work without a proper position. I just helped around. I thought I was going to be dismissed or asked to leave the company. Two months later, to my surprise, the company promoted me to be a supervisor in one of the divisions and to be in charge of 11 people. I never thought such a blessing could ever happen to me! When Pastor Prince said to ask for big things, in my heart, I believed God is my qualification. I had no experience or qualification, yet I got promoted to be a supervisor! Thank you, Pastor Prince, for preaching the gospel of grace that has amazingly transformed my life!

Compensated After Job Offer Withdrawn And Subsequently Blessed With Another Job

Although I am an Australian resident, I have been attending New Creation Church during my frequent trips to Singapore in the last 15 months. Pastor Prince’s inspiring and anointed preaching has greatly encouraged, sustained and impacted me during my difficult period of job-hunting.

I had accepted a job offer in Bangkok, which was subsequently withdrawn. This left me shocked and devastated as I truly believed that it was the answer to my prayers for an overseas posting. However, recent events have demonstrated our Abba Father's love and protection for me, as that company has since shut down because of the political upheavals in Bangkok.

In the meantime, I have started work with another international hotel group with no reduction in pay. In fact, I have also been compensated by the other Bangkok company for a breach of contract. All praise, thanks, honour and glory to Jesus!

Blessed With A Better Paying Job While Resting In Jesus’ Finished Work

After working in a company for five and a half years, I was enjoying a good pay with a high position. However, I started to resent the way my colleagues were treated. I felt that although they were incompetent, they were given preferential treatment and had undeserved favour in the company. I also compared my pay with others. I became so dissatisfied, frustrated and cynical that I left the company.

In July 2009, I sent out my resumes and received quite a few job interviews for high level positions. Although things always looked positive, none of these opportunities materialised. I was frustrated, disappointed, angry and puzzled. By that time, I had been out of job for almost six months, much longer than I had expected.

Then, I heard Pastor Prince’s messages on restful increase and meditating on God’s Word and something changed in me. What blessed, wonderful, powerful messages! I started to feel less resentful and angry, and started to really meditate on resting in Jesus’ finished work. I believed even more deeply that I am loved by Jesus and entered into His rest. I remembered what Pastor Prince taught us and refused to allow my heart to be troubled or afraid. I meditated on the Word, confessed God’s promises and truths many times a day, anointed myself with oil daily and continued to tithe and make offerings to honour our heavenly Father.

Then, miracles began to happen. Within the span of a few days, I received five calls for job interviews, after a dry spell for about three months. For one of the jobs, the company expanded what was initially a junior position, with a 40 per cent pay cut from my previous job, to a senior position! The company was keen to interview me so I met up with the HR director and later, the CEO. I asked our Father for His wisdom, favour and good success. When I finished my interview with the CEO, the HR director made me a job offer on the spot with a prepared letter of employment! Praise Jesus! From a role which was prepared to pay me a 40 per cent pay cut, God turned it around to a 20 per cent pay raise!

What’s more, I found out that the company pays for my parking. And above all, my soul has prospered so much and I have true peace and joy which can only come by resting in Jesus. Restful increase is indeed the way to go, hallelujah!

Restful Increase In Career, Finances And Family

At the beginning of 2009, Pastor Prince shared that it was the dektos year. With that in mind, I started to believe that God would provide the finances and give me time away from work to be able to visit Israel (the holy land that I had a deep desire to visit) at the end of the year. Praise God! Abba provided, and my family and I went to Israel in December 2009! Towards the end of that trip, our tour leader asked if anyone wanted to visit Israel again next year. We proclaimed, “We’ll be back by God’s provision! Amen.”

I used to think that I have to meet a certain performance level to deserve all the good things from God. But now I know that God is eager to give and He does not withhold any of His blessings from His children. God’s blessings continued to pour on me and 2010 is indeed a year of restful increase. God gave me unmerited favour at my workplace with my colleagues and continues to do so. Despite what others of the world are facing like stress, severance etc., I am experiencing the opposite. I received a promotion with pay increment! All praise to my Abba! With the additional finances from God, we can now go to Israel again with more family members this year! Abba truly provides exceedingly above all that we ask!

That is not all. I used to agree with the world that childhood myopia will worsen each year. But once I knew that we are already complete in Christ, I refused to stand in agreement with the world’s opinion on my child’s eyesight. I believed that by His stripes, my child is already healed. So my child and I confessed daily that as Christ is, so are we in this world. At an eye check-up this year, not only did my child have no increase in myopia, but he also had a slight improvement in the left eye! We believe that restoration has started and will continue simply because we are healed by His stripes!

Received Job Offers Ahead Of Graduation

I’m a second-year law graduate student. My first degree is in Accountancy and I am reading Law as a second discipline. I started thinking about my job prospects recently as I’d be joining the workforce in 2012. Since I’m trained in both Accountancy and Law, I thought that Corporate Law would be a good area to practise.

Although the economy is still not looking good for corporate lawyers, I’ve had three job offers without having to send out a single application! All these came about during my internship and through casual conversations with the partners of a few law firms.

I remember being skeptical as I listened to all the testimonies read out by Pastor Gabriel and Pastor Lian about people being blessed in their jobs. Somehow I didn’t think that God would bless me. I “tested” Him by sending out an application to a prestigious law firm. Within two days of sending it out, I received a phone call asking me to go down for an interview. When they heard that I was going on holiday the next day, they said that they would accommodate my schedule! Less than a day after my rescheduled interview, they offered me a job! I accepted it and decided to turn down the other job offers. This offer was made to me even before the firm interviewed the rest of the candidates! And most certainly, a job offer two years before I join the workforce is totally unheard of! Praise God!

I’d like to encourage everyone that the same God who has blessed me in my career will bless you the same and even more!

He Depended On God And Won The Project

I’m working in an advertising agency. In August last year, I had to make a business pitch to a conglomerate. Though we were scheduled to present our advertising campaign pitch to the client at 10.30am, we were still working on it that morning.

In the advertising industry, once you’ve missed a pitch presentation, you’re disqualified from pitching for the project. This is to be fair to all the advertising agencies that have struggled to meet the deadline. I was so frustrated because after all those late nights of working on the presentation, it amounted to nothing. Though I did not lose my temper, I believe my staff felt my “silent treatment”.

I told my partner to call the client to inform them that we were going to be late, and that if they could wait for us, we’d greatly appreciate it. I highlighted to my partner to be honest about the reason for our tardiness. I remembered Pastor Prince always said that as long as we honour God in our actions, God will honour our faith in Him and handle the rest.

The client told us that they could only give us a 30-minute grace period. However, we only managed to complete our work at 2.30pm! Although my team and I had worked through sleepless nights, we still missed the presentation deadline! Nonetheless, I told my partner to pack up all the work that we’d completed for the presentation and deliver them to the client. I thought that since we did endeavour to complete it, we might as well let the client have our work — regardless of whether they were going to review it.

This is the first time I’d missed a pitch presentation in my advertising career. A typical pitch expense for advertising agencies would easily have cost up to a five-figure sum. I thank God that this is my own company, and that we can still manage consequences of this magnitude. If I were still working at my previous advertising agencies, I’d be fired on the spot. That night, I didn’t sleep well. I felt extremely condemned for failing.

Three weeks later, I received a call from the client telling us that my company had been shortlisted for the project! It was unbelievable and it has to be God’s awesome grace! Soon after, we were given an opportunity to present our project within a 30-minute timeframe. However, I exceeded my presentation timing by 15 minutes and was told to quickly wrap it up.

After the presentation, I felt condemned. The next morning, I declared that God’s favour is upon me and I am not condemned by Him in any way. All of a sudden, I felt the heaviness inside me being lifted! I anointed myself with the anointing oil before I left for work, and reminded myself that God is a giver, and not a teaser. God will not allow us to be shortlisted, only to withhold this project from us.

The next day, I received news that the project was awarded to us! The client told me that I was very lucky despite being disqualified in the first round and exceeding my presentation time. He also remarked that I must have prayed very hard to my god. If only he knew that I don’t have to pray hard but simply trust in God’s grace and favour. I believe God will create an opportunity for him to know Him through our business partnership.

Pastor Prince, thank you for showing me that God’s grace and favour is applicable to everyday living — even in the business world.

Received Multiple Career Blessings When She Rested In Him

Having graduated in 2009, I had to find a job amid the global economic meltdown. Almost everyone I spoke to advised me to lower my expectations and accept any reasonable job that came my way. But I kept encouraging myself with one sermon where Pastor Prince mentioned that God does not want to just bless us with a job, but a position in a company that we desire. Hence, I only applied for positions that I was interested in. To cut the story short, I was offered a position with a pay that was above my expectations. And I got the confirmation just in time for graduation!

In my new job, I was placed in a management trainee programme (MTP) with two rounds of postings to different departments. I submitted a list of preferred departments for my first department posting, and got none of my choices. I was a tad disappointed and concerned about being in a department that was not my area of expertise. However, I remembered proclaiming aloud, “Lord, I have no idea why I got into this department, but I know that it’s all in Your perfect plan, and something good is going to come out of this. As for my inexperience in this area of work, Jesus, if You’ve placed me here, I know Your wisdom will cause me to excel in every task that comes my way.” As it turned out, this posting was a blessing in disguise! My colleagues and bosses have been extremely willing and patient enough to show me the ropes, and I also found amazing favour with my superiors.

Barely two months after I started my MTP, my boss told me that he was sending me to the regional office in Kuala Lumpur (KL) for a week as they were shorthanded. I was extremely excited because management trainees don’t usually get to go on overseas business trips. But the Lord had prepared something even better. During a meeting the following week, my boss suddenly announced that he was going to extend my stay in KL to two months instead! I almost fell off my seat. A two-month business trip for a management trainee was an unprecedented arrangement in the company. There’s honestly no way my own efforts could have achieved something like this in a short span of two months.

Jesus really has a way of leaving me speechless when I see His love for me and rest in His peace.

God’s Favour In Career In Spite Of Economic Crisis

God is good, and with the benefit of hindsight, I have realised how my life has indeed been guided by God, and how everything does work out for the good of those who trust in Him.

I graduated with a law degree from the National University of Singapore in 2008. Before becoming full-fledged lawyers, law graduates have to undergo six months of pupillage in a law firm. The norm is to apply for placement while still in the third year of our studies.

When my friends and I applied for pupillage in 2007, the economy was doing well and most of us were keen to do our pupillage in one of the top four law firms here. I had received offers from one of the top four, as well as a smaller but well-established local law firm. Many students would, without much thought, accept the offer from the top firm because of its prestige and higher pay. However, I was hesitant. My father also encouraged me to pick the firm that I felt most comfortable working in.

Though I did not know it then, God’s hand was already guiding me and I chose to do my pupillage in the corporate department of the smaller firm. When the financial crisis hit, the corporate sector was badly affected, and many of my friends who did their pupillage in the corporate departments of the top firms were not given the opportunity to stay on after their pupillage had ended.

Nevertheless, God’s favour was on me in so many ways. Not only was I offered a permanent position in the smaller firm, but my boss also made me the offer several weeks before my pupillage ended, thus saving me from all that anxiety about my future.

I am very happy where I am, with superiors and colleagues who are kind, friendly and willing to teach. I cannot fully express my amazement that, despite all my unbelief and failings, the Lord still sticks around and continues to plan my future down to a T. I am so grateful to Him!

Husband Blessed With A Better-Paying Job Which He Enjoys

I am from Sarawak, Malaysia. I started listening to Pastor Prince’s sermons on God’s grace about a year ago. Now, I get to watch Pastor Prince on Daystar and also read his daily devotionals online.

Recently, my husband left his job. He met several acquaintances who told him about openings at different companies and he applied for them. I was reminded about God’s grace, so I shared with my husband to rely on God’s grace and love for him instead of putting his hopes in his acquaintances.

Within a month, God blessed my husband with a job which he enjoys. He is also receiving more than double his previous salary. My husband has favour with his new boss and was even promoted just weeks into his new job. Thank you, Jesus!

Free From Condemnation And Blessed With A Job

I had been actively looking for a job since getting laid off in January 2009. I went for many job interviews. I was even at a particular company for three rounds of interviews, but I did not receive any job offers. I was quite frustrated by my circumstances. Every day, I would listen to sermon CDs, partake of the Holy Communion, apply the anointing oil and make faith confessions, but there was still no breakthrough.

Recently, a friend lent me some sermon DVDs by Pastor Prince. After watching the DVDs, the Holy Spirit began to reveal to me areas in my life where I had allowed condemnation to creep in. I had believed that my prayers weren’t being answered because of my past mistakes.

I had heard that Jesus is the overpayment for all my sins, but that message had only remained in my head. This time, a revelation of the truth dropped into my heart. As I watched the sermons repeatedly, those negative thoughts and feelings of condemnation started to fall away. I know that my heavenly Abba is no longer angry with me, and that I must forgive myself and move on.

Soon after, I received a job offer from an overseas multinational corporation which gives me a 16 per cent pay increment compared to my previous job. The company made me this offer on the same day that I attended the interview. This is also the first time in my career that I will be getting a six-figure annual remuneration package. Praise the Lord!

Pastor Prince, please continue to preach the gospel of God’s amazing grace. I believe that there are many Christians all over the world who are suffering from self-condemnation and need to hear this message. Praise God for your ministry!
