We Care

Helping The Sick

From 4 to 9 May 2014, 32 volunteers from New Creation Church set up a temporary clinic in Kampong Thom Province, Cambodia.

Among them was Dr Raymond Lim who had the chance to witness God’s healing power on one of the villagers, Leng Hongly.

“His thumb was severed a week ago before we arrived,” shared Dr Lim.  “He was left untreated but surprisingly, the wound remained clean and uninfected. We were able to stitch up his hand!”

Not only did Leng Hongly get his thumb back, on the last day of the clinic’s operation, he came back with his entire family and they received Christ on the spot.

As the word went out, more and more locals visited the makeshift clinic, and some even called it the Jesus Clinic!

Throughout their stay, the volunteers treated over 2,300 people, more than what they expected.

Mr Ly Huy, National Director of One-2-One Cambodia, a non-governmental organisation dedicated to improving the lives of the vulnerable and destitute people of Cambodia, said, “This is truly a miracle! I was initially worried about the number of people who would turn up because not many of the villagers knew we were coming. But we exceeded our target of 2,000 patients!”

With the help of the local organisations, Samrong Church and Jesus’ Loving Caring Hands Ministry, the gospel was preached to everyone who came. All in all, more than 217 people were saved. All glory to Jesus!
