A Delectable Mid-Autumn Treat

Commonly known as the “Day of Reunion”, the Mid-Autumn Festival is one of the most celebrated occasions amongst the Chinese people around the world. Many Chinese would return home to celebrate it with their family, loved ones and friends.

To be a blessing to the Chinese migrant workers in our community, our Chinese Ministry partnered with the Agape Christian Centre (ACC) China Fellowship to sponsor an authentic Chinese buffet and mooncakes during ACC’s annual Mid-Autumn Evangelistic Service on Sunday, 27 September 2015. ACC has a congregation of about 100 construction workers from mainland China and its annual Mid-Autumn Evangelistic Service is a wonderful opportunity for members to invite their co-workers to church.

The 2015 service was attended by 184 migrant workers, including 45 newcomers and 27 new believers. To share the love of Christ with all present, our Chinese Ministry leaders and volunteers fellowshipped with the attendees during the event and gave out mooncake gift bags.
