Promoted Effortlessly

I have been working for seven years and have been through many setbacks in my career due to a combination of closed doors and the lack of a formal degree. 

Hence, for the past six years, I had been stuck as an assistant manager in the communications field. 

In 2016, one of my three prayer requests was to be promoted to a position of influence. In the natural, I did not know how it could happen. 

During the year, I took up a part-time degree course in an attempt to improve my chances for promotion. I listened to the Word and encouraged myself with Pastor Prince's teaching on possessing my possessions. Though I experienced much favour in my career, my desire to get a promotion was still not fulfilled.

In the last week of 2016, Pastor Prince led us in prayer over our three prayer requests for 2017. I made the same prayer to be promoted to a position of influence. I even set a faith goal for my salary which, at that time, seemed ridiculous to me. 

But when God blesses, He does so in ways we dare not even hope for.

The following day, I headed back into the office and was suddenly called into a meeting with the general manager and director of sales of a new hotel that was opening up. 

In that informal interview, there was no striving, no need to justify my works or show proof of my work performance. It seemed as though God had opened all the doors and lined up all the important people to speak on my behalf even before I uttered a single word.

Less than five minutes into the conversation, they immediately offered me the position of marketing communications manager. I was also offered a 37 per cent pay increment even though it was an internal transfer and promotion. 

Truly, God Himself fights our battles for us even when we don't see it happening. And what my human mind considered ridiculous to achieve, God made it happen. What a beautiful way it was for me to end 2016 by possessing my possessions and stepping into 2017 with a bounce of jubilee in my steps!
