In early 2018, my wife and I relocated from Singapore to Hong Kong. Since then, we have settled into a local church and have been watching Pastor Prince’s sermons on his website and on cable TV.
In early October 2018, I began to feel a sharp pain in my left heel which would render me almost paralysed. My wife and I would pray against the pain and it would leave. However, over the weeks, I noticed that the pain returned more frequently. Once, it lasted for about 45 minutes. So, we finally decided to go for a scan even as we continued to partake of the Holy Communion, anoint myself with oil, and pray for healing.
We had an MRI (magnetic resonance imaging) scan done in early November and found that there was a growth, likely a large tumour, of about 2 cm in my left foot. The orthopaedist proposed to use medication to contain the growth and surgery to remove it. But we decided to go to the Lord our Healer.
Having heard of the testimony of the sister who was healed of a lump in her chest after declaring that as Jesus is without any lump so is she in this world, we also believed the Lord can and is willing to do the same for us. So, we wrote on a Post-it note declaring that “As Jesus is without any tumours or growths in His heel, so am I! Amen!”.
We would declare this daily, partake of the Lord's Supper, pray and anoint myself with oil. We also asked for prayers from our ministry leader and friends from New Creation Church. The senior pastor and care group members from the church we are attending in Hong Kong also prayed together with us in agreement.
At one of our prayer sessions, I saw a vision of the Lord’s hand touching my heel and received a word of encouragement from Him. A few weeks later, we went to another orthopaedist and did a second MRI scan. This time round, there was no growth or tumour!
After learning about my earlier scan and diagnosis, the orthopaedist requested for both scans to be sent to his radiologist for a more detailed study. The final report confirmed that there was no tumour, lesion or growth of any kind in my foot. My condition was dismissed as a tendon inflammation due to overexertion, and no surgery or drug was required. The orthopaedist even shared that he had never seen anything like this in his 30 years of practice!
Praise Jesus for His healing grace and miracle! The pain in my foot has not come back since early January. Glory to Him!
