Celebrating Our Mothers 2018
Mothers are God’s valuable gifts to us. To appreciate and honour mothers, there were special shout-outs and gifts specially prepared for them on Mother’s Day, 13 May 2018.
At our English services, Pastor Mark Ng prayed over the mums and grandmothers declaring God’s wisdom and peace over them before sharing the Word. In his message, Pastor Mark also encouraged mothers to rest and depend on the Lord Jesus even as they care for their families. He highlighted the importance of hearing God’s Word and to be conscious of His goodness and desire to supply them abundantly.
On their way out after the services, mothers received a specially designed cardholder, which contains pocket-sized Bible verse cards to remind them of God’s wonderful promises for them.
The mothers at our Chinese services were blessed with a magnetic photo frame gift from the church. They were also treated to a special song and dance item and received a prayer of blessing during the services.
Over at Rock Kidz, our children’s ministry, the preschoolers had a fun time putting together accordion cards to express their love for their mums, while the older kids presented special “Mother’s Day coupons” to their mums to appreciate them with acts of service.
