Family Blessed, Daughter’s Depression Bested

My family had been staying overseas for years due to my husband’s job. In February 2013, I came back to Singapore for Chinese New Year and visited New Creation Church. 

I was led to read Pastor Prince’s book, Unmerited Favor, and from then on, I could not stop listening to his sermons. Though I did not fully understand what Pastor Prince was preaching, I would tear and feel so loved. 

In 2014, my family made several trips back to Singapore to attend the services in New Creation Church. When we were in Hong Kong, we would watch Pastor Prince’s sermons as a family on Sundays and treat it as though we were attending the church services. 

During that time, one of our daughters suffered from depression and was suicidal. She had been seeing a psychologist for one-and-a-half years and was on medication. 

In mid-2014, my husband and I felt that we should go home and plant ourselves in New Creation Church. By February 2015, we were back in Singapore. At that time, I decided to discontinue my daughter’s medication. Instead, I partook of the Holy Communion with her and confessed that by Jesus’ stripes, she would suffer no side effects from the abrupt termination of medication. Praise the Lord, she did not develop any side effects.  

Day and night, we would play the two A Touch Of His Presence worship albums and sermons by Pastor Prince in our house. We would also confess Psalm 91 and Psalm 23 over ourselves at the start of each day, and I was saved from car accidents three separate times. 

In 2015, the Lord answered my other prayers, which were for our family to be baptised and visit the land of Israel together. 

By 2016, my three daughters were rooted in the youth ministry. A year later, my daughter who battled with depression was set free and even completed her GCE O Levels with good grades which enabled her to enter a junior college. All glory to our Lord Jesus Christ! 

We are truly thankful to be in the house of God, worshipping and singing praises to our Lord! Thank you, Pastor Prince, for shepherding us, teaching us to see Jesus and how to walk with Him!
