Friend And Her Received Healing While Overseas

I recently went on an overseas trip with my friend. We embarked on a three-day mountain hiking trip, and on the first night when we arrived at the base camp, my friend suffered gastritis and food poisoning.

Her condition was so bad that she had to stay in the tent for the next two days, and piggybacked down the day after by the guides who were with us. When we reached our accommodation, my friend was still extremely unwell. She was unable to move, eat or drink. The next day, Sunday, 22 October, we had to call a doctor in to give her an intravenous (IV) drip.

While she was being treated, I stepped out of our room to give her space to rest. Meanwhile, I decided that I would tune in to the online service myself. That day, Pastor Prince prayed for those who were sick, and the first condition he called out was gastritis. I was extremely thankful and wondered what were the chances! I claimed the healing for my friend and fully believed that she would be completely healed.

Right after that, Pastor Prince also prayed for a knee injury, specifically due to physical activity. I had been struggling with an old knee injury for years due to my intense dance training, and it had once again been triggered during the trip because of the hike in the mountains.

So, I claimed the healing for myself too. After the service, I returned to the room and to my surprise, I saw my friend standing up, and getting ready to go out. She was putting on her dress, applying makeup, and even laughing!

I asked her if she was feeling better given that I had only been away for such a short while, and she replied “yes”— a 100 per cent better! Initially, the doctor said that she would need to rest for an entire day after the IV drip, but she felt completely fine right after the treatment, and was bursting with energy.

I was so excited and I shared with my friend that the first thing my pastor prayed for today was gastritis and she was equally surprised! As for my knee, it was no longer sore and painful after the prayer. I believe that the pain shall not come back anymore. Amen!

We got to enjoy the rest of our holiday because of God’s grace and incredible mercy. Thank you, Pastor Prince. I am so blessed to be a part of this house. Praise the Lord!

Some time ago, my two-and-a-half-year-old daughter came down with a high fever and was hospitalised for what the doctors believed were flu viruses. However, after two nights, she became unresponsive and started gasping for air. She was later discovered to have a severe streptococcal infection. Her heart, lungs and kidneys were shutting down, and she was placed on life support.

At one point, the doctors could only tell me, “Your daughter is very ill,” while showing me X-rays of her lungs, which appeared completely white. They even arranged for a social worker to prepare us for the worst.

The doctors explained that if she did not improve, she would need to undergo a procedure to be placed on an extracorporeal membrane oxygenation (ECMO) machine—a heart and lung bypass. They warned us of the risks involved, including possible brain bleeding, but said it was the only way to buy her more time.

I was devastated. When her condition worsened and I had to sign the consent form for the ECMO procedure, I remembered two of my Christian friends and asked them to pray with me. During the operation, my friends and I sat in the waiting room praying and worshipping God.

After the procedure, my daughter remained in the ICU. During that time, the church’s healing team visited regularly to pray and partake of the holy Communion with her. At a healing service, Pastor Henry also prayed for my daughter and declared that she was on her way to recovery. Pastor Mei from the Rock Kidz Ministry encouraged me to declare the finished work of Jesus over her as well. I spoke scriptures over my daughter and sang worship songs to her, and each time I did, she would respond by moving.

Days later, my daughter was successfully taken off the ECMO machine. Her kidneys began to recover, and dialysis was no longer needed. However, a later scan revealed bleeding on the brain, and we rallied the prayer warriors again. At the next scan, the bleeding was gone!

My daughter eventually underwent lung surgery to remove the remaining infection. After that, her fever broke, and she was transferred out of the ICU. One doctor told me, “She is a miracle. Whatever prayers you and your friends were praying, I think it worked.”

My daughter was discharged about six weeks after she was admitted. Through it all, the Lord was with us. He healed my daughter completely. All glory to God!

Last year, my husband and I were expecting our firstborn. On the day my water bag broke, we had just seen our obstetrician that morning and all was well, so we packed our bags and called a taxi.

As we got into the taxi, I experienced a massive gush of fluid and began bleeding bright red blood. We arrived at the hospital around 2am and, to our horror, the nurse attending to us could not detect any heartbeat.

An obstetrician who happened to be in the hospital came to assess me and immediately performed an emergency C-section. When I woke up from the surgery, I learned that I had suffered a placental abruption. My son had lost a significant amount of blood and had been deprived of oxygen for a period of time.

When he was delivered, he showed no signs of life. But the paediatrician resuscitated him and, by God’s grace, my son came back to life. All the doctors and nurses later told us we were very “lucky”. If we had arrived even a minute later, he would likely not have survived. But we knew it was not luck, but God.

A month later, when we visited the obstetrician who delivered our baby, we learned that he is also a Christian. He was not supposed to be in the hospital at that hour. He had come in for another emergency case and felt prompted to stay.

After birth, our baby stayed in the hospital for seven days. During this time, we were deeply strengthened by our church family from the Outreach Ministry, who prayed relentlessly for our son. The leaders also partook of the holy Communion on his behalf. His lungs improved so quickly that, two weeks after his discharge, he no longer needed oxygen at all. We were worried that his brain or organs had been damaged due to the lack of oxygen. But praise God, his brain scans showed that all was well.

Today, our boy is a healthy. His weight is trending above his growth curve, and he is meeting all his developmental milestones. The paediatrician has declared that he is past the initial birth trauma.

All praise to Jesus! We believe Jesus brought our baby back to life. We are also so thankful for our church family, who stood with us and supported us during this difficult time. We truly believe their prayers played a part in our son’s miraculous recovery. Jesus is indeed real and alive!
