Two years ago, I injured my ankle while taking my dog out for a walk. Later on, I realised that my ankle had become swollen. Whenever I walked up the stairs, I would cry because of the pain. I couldn't walk properly and I felt useless, to the point where I even thought of ending my life.

In July this year, Pastor Prince prayed for healing over ankle conditions. That day, I kept touching my ankle and realised that the pain was gone and the swelling had subsided!

It was the best gift from God as my birthday was just two days later. Now, I can even wear heels!

I had stopped running for six weeks due to a pain in my right knee, and I grew concerned about how long I would be unable to run.

In June, I attended a camp for volunteers and care group members from the West Zone. On the first night of the camp, a leader gave a word identifying someone in the camp who loved running and was suffering from a knee pain. At that moment, I knew the word was for me, so I stepped forward to ask for prayer and Pastor Jeffrey Tan prayed for me to be healed.

Several days after the camp, I went for a long run and though it was quite a tough route with slopes, my knees were fine and there was no pain at all! All glory to Jesus!

My husband and I have had two miscarriages three years ago. It was a difficult time, and it was also challenging for us in hoping to be pregnant again.

The following year, Pastor Prince preached a message titled Change How You See And Change Your Life. I kept listening to it and something changed on the inside of me. The fear of miscarrying started to disappear and I stopped focusing on wanting to have a baby. Instead, I began to enjoy life. God painted a faith picture in my heart to see and believe that I would be pregnant again and be able to carry a baby to full term.

Three months later, I got pregnant and delivered a baby boy at full term! We named him Emmanuel, which means God with us.

At Emmanuel’s first check-up however, he was diagnosed with a hole in his heart. It was termed a birth defect and while it did not require surgery, the cardiologist said that the hole may or may not close by the age of five. We were told that Emmanuel could live like a normal child, except that he should avoid high intensity activities. Hearing this, we could not help but feel sad that our baby would have to live a “compromised life”.

Then, we were reminded again by Pastor Prince through his sermons, as well as our friends in church, that the promises of God are sure and true. God gave us the gift of a miracle baby, and He is continually working for Emmanuel’s good.

We began to look to the Lord and prayed for the hole in Emmanuel’s heart to close so that he would be able to lead an active life. Over the next few months, Emmanuel grew very well and it was heartening for us.

At his sixth-month check-up, the cardiologist did a heart scan and confirmed that the hole in Emmanuel’s heart had closed, and that he would officially close Emmanuel’s case! We never thought it would be this soon as the cardiologist was initially reluctant to see us this early because most holes in the heart do not close that quickly.

God is so good. All glory to Jesus!

Ever since my sisters and I received Jesus, we had been believing the Lord for our mum’s salvation. We had brought her to our church’s Chinese services a number of times, but she was never receptive to the gospel. On one occasion, she got upset and even warned us to stop inviting her to church.

When Pastor Prince shared that 2019 is the Year of the Latter Rain, and encouraged us to be expectant for this to be the year we reap an overflowing harvest from our seeds of faith, we prayed and asked the Lord specifically for a breakthrough in this area.

Then, we found out that our mum had started to listen to the audio sermons we’ve shared with her previously. In May, we felt led to invite her to the Mother’s Day celebrations at the Mandarin service. To our surprise, she said yes readily.

After the service, we happened to meet Pastor Esther Tsang at the Connect Point. Pastor Esther ministered to our mum and she received Jesus as her Lord and Saviour! And so, just like this, our prayer for many years was answered. Glory to Jesus!

I received the Lord Jesus when I was 11. By the time I was 13, I was water baptised and had received the baptism of the Holy Spirit. I was on fire for the Lord, so much so that my parents became worried that my studies would be affected. To cut a long story short, they cut me off from attending church towards the end of my freshman year in high school.

Back then, I believed that by not going to church, I would fall away from God and He would be angry with me. I also believed that life would be more fun without Him. So when I was 15, I turned my back on Him, and told Him that I could not live the way He wanted me to because it was too hard. But if He would still want to have me, I would return to Him in my late 30s.

Years later, I moved from the United States to Singapore, and started attending New Creation Church regularly. By then, I was 39. Then, I remembered the prayer I made to God when I was 15 and realised that He had been patiently waiting for me. After wasting many years carrying my sins around like a ball and chain, and suffering the emptiness that comes from trying to be happy apart from God, the Lord brought me back to Him, and even made sure that I got to hear the gospel of grace preached by Pastor Prince!

At times, I fret over the years that I had wasted from not having believed right. But as I kept feeding on good spiritual food, and positioning myself to receive from my Abba, I kept growing in grace, and I am experiencing His blessings in my life manifested more and more. And praise the Lord, God has been restoring to me all that the locusts had eaten, and I am enjoying His blessings of the latter rain.

Last year, I had my cookbook published. In April this year, I received an email with news that my book had won an award as the best cookbook in Singapore, and it was in the running for an international award. Three months later, I attended the awards ceremony in Macau and I received the top prize! All glory to the Father of glory! Praise Jesus for His amazing favour!

Today, I am 52 years young, and I have been attending New Creation Church for over 12 years. I consider it such a privilege and honour to be part of this wonderful church. I want to thank all the pastors, especially Pastor Prince, for teaching the Word and loving us.

Now, I have come to realise that life is infinitely more fun with God!
