As a church, we celebrated Children’s Day in advance on Sunday, 2 October 2016. During our English services, the creative team put up a beautiful song item — a medley of “This Is The Father’s World” and “He’s Got The Whole World In His Hands” accompanied by the lush sound of cellos.

Senior Pastor Joseph Prince then preached an uplifting message on looking to God as our shield and rewarder. He also encouraged married couples to believe the Lord for children by expounding on the verse “children are a heritage from the Lord, the fruit of the womb is a reward” (ref: Psalm 127:3).

Over at Rock Kidz, our little ones were invited to step into “the promised land” — a fruitful land “flowing with milk and honey” as described in the book of Deuteronomy. Printouts of milk and honey decorated the classrooms while balloon sculptures of giant grapes were displayed outside the Rock Kidz areas at The Star Performing Arts Centre and Marina Bay Sands Ballrooms.

Each child took home a Children’s Day gift which reminded them that they are well-loved by their heavenly Father and that the battle belongs to the Lord. The ministry also officially kicked off “Octoblessed”, a month-long celebration packed with Bible-centred programmes and fun activities for the children.
