Gift Of Love 2023
Gift Of Love has turned 10! Over the last decade, we’ve had the privilege of blessing thousands of families, seniors, ex-offenders, migrant workers, and individuals with special needs in Singapore and beyond, regardless of their race and religion, during the Christmas season.
Our programmes and initiatives are impacting more lives in Singapore and beyond our borders such as to countries like Cambodia, Indonesia, Thailand and the Philippines.
2 December 2023
Showing love to our community during the Christmas season! This afternoon, we gave away supermarket vouchers to some 200 households in the North East District.
Our team, including church council member Deacon Matthew Kang, Pastor Lawrence Lim and Pastor Zoe Yuen, were joined by guests-of-honour, Minister of State Mr Desmond Tan, Member of Parliament Yeo Wan Ling and Mayor Desmond Choo, who all played a part in personally handing out these gifts at a special Christmas luncheon.

We extended Our Gift Of Love to the residents of Buona Vista, allowing us to bring blessings to approximately 400 households. This initiative reached out to elderly residents and underprivileged families, providing them with essential supermarket vouchers.
Additionally, Pastor Lawrence Lim received a token of appreciation from Mr Ngien Hoon Ping, Chairman of the Buona Vista Citizens’ Consultative Committee, in recognition of our church's contributions to the community.

We celebrated Christmas with the residents of the Ang Mo Kio-Hougang constituency during a Christmas Gift of Love dinner event! Over 50 families were in attendance, and each of them received $100 supermarket vouchers sponsored by our church. Deacon Matthew Kang, our church council member, and Member of Parliament Mr Darryl David were present to hand out the gifts personally to the residents.
2 & 9 December 2023
As part of our Gift Of Love initiative in December, we held a Christmas celebration for the seniors of an active ageing centre. The participants enjoyed recreational games and got to make memories together at the photo booth as well. Our volunteers also went door to door distributing gift vouchers to the less-privileged residents in our community and pray with some of them too. Praise the Lord for the opportunities to reach out and touch lives!

Christmas is the season for giving! We are delighted to have hosted over 180 elderly from various senior activity centres at a Christmas banquet, where they enjoyed a hearty feast and participated in joyful festivities. We also had the opportunity to share the good news of Jesus Christ with the elderly, and led over 10 of them to Christ!

To celebrate the 10th year of Gift Of Love, our volunteers teamed up with seniors from Fei Yue Active Ageing Centre and members of Breakthrough Missions to create some unforgettable performances at The Star Vista! What an incredible treat it was!

This Christmas season, we are again reaching out to the nations around us through Gift Of Love Global! In Batam, Indonesia, our local partner visited rural villages to present grocery packs to many farmers and fishermen, and Christmas gifts to the little ones!
We were particularly heartened to hear a testimony of a family who had no more food to eat receive our groceries as a timely answer to their prayers! Praise God that we get to be a channel of His practical blessing to so many, and for the opportunity to share the gospel with them too.

Our Gift Of Love activities continued this week in the Marsiling constituency! Mr Zaqy Mohamad, Senior Minister of State for Defence & Manpower, joined Pastor Joash and our volunteers to distribute supermarket vouchers to the residents.

Throughout December, we sponsored Christmas dinners for the migrant community in Singapore at various dormitories. They not only sang carols together but gathered to hear a sharing of the gospel. Praise the Lord for these seeds sown!

Over the weekend at the Pioneer constituency, our team of volunteers, including Guest of Honour, Member of Parliament Patrick Tay, distributed our Gift Of Love vouchers to approximately 100 seniors and enjoyed a delightful lunch together.

This Christmas season, we are fulfilling the wishes of the less privileged in our community through our Gift-A-Wish programme!
Earlier this month, we arranged a special visit to a cat café for an elderly lady who lives alone. She had previously enjoyed caring for cats in her home but with the onset of dementia, is no longer able to do so, and misses having them around. It was so heartwarming to see her face light up as she interacted with the cats. There was also a fun craft activity and a delicious dinner to end the day too.
So glad we get to spread joy to others with acts of kindness, one person at a time!

Our team of volunteers brought an abundance of Christmas cheer to the elderly residents at a local active ageing center! Laughter filled the air as the seniors engaged in entertaining games like "Find The Gift" and "Spot The Difference". To make their festive season even more special, our volunteers also distributed supermarket vouchers, our gifts of love, to bring extra joy to their Christmas celebration!

Our hearts were warmed to share the joy of an elderly couple during their wedding anniversary celebration—part of our Gift-A-Wish programme to help the less-privileged during the Christmas season!
The husband had suffered a stroke and had to stay in a nursing home as his wife was too frail to care for him full time. When he expressed his desire to have a special outing with his wife on their anniversary, our volunteers sprang into action to organise a lunch date for the couple, replete with a makeover for his wife, a photoshoot to commemorate the occasion and anniversary gifts!
The smiles on their faces make it all worthwhile.
